In today’s rapidly evolving and interconnected world, effective management practices are crucial for navigating the complexities of global markets. The Master of Global Management (MGM) programme is designed to equip students and professionals with the comprehensive skills and knowledge necessary to lead multi-national organisations successfully in diverse international environments.
The programme aims to prepare students for global and regional business challenges, particularly in the dynamic environments of the Belt and Road Initiative spanning China, Europe, the Middle East, and America. It focuses on developing core management competencies, including strategic planning, organisational behaviour, and leadership, empowering students to manage teams effectively within multinational corporations. Emphasis is placed on enhancing communication and interpersonal skills to ensure graduates can engage professionally with global stakeholders and foster teamwork in diverse contexts.

EdUHK Signs MoU with emlyon business school to Establish International Programmes and Strengthen Academic Exchange
The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) and emlyon business school signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today (9 April) to establish a strategic collaboration that will expand academic cooperation, enhance student and staff exchange, and develop joint programmes between the two institutions.
The agreement was formalised during a signing ceremony held at EdUHK’s Tai Po campus, attended by senior leaders and delegations from both universities. It marked the beginning of a new chapter of exchanges and programme development between the two institutions.
Professor John Lee Chi-Kin, EdUHK President and Professor Isabelle Huault, President of emlyon business school, signed the MoU on behalf of the universities. During the ceremony, both institutions engaged in in-depth discussions on the direction of future collaboration in business education and affirmed their joint commitment to leveraging the unique advantages of Hong Kong and France.
Professor Lee remarked, “This partnership reflects EdUHK’s unwavering commitment to internationalisation and talent development. By joining hands with emlyon business school, we are creating new pathways for our students and staff to gain global perspectives, applied business knowledge and cross-cultural experience. Together, we will nurture future leaders who can thrive in a rapidly-changing world and contribute meaningfully to society”
Professor Huault said, “We are delighted to embark on this collaboration with EdUHK, which brings together two institutions with complementary strengths and shared aspirations. This partnership will enable us to co-develop innovative academic programmes, foster mobility across Asia and Europe, and build bridges between communities. I am confident that our joint initiatives will set new standards for excellence, innovation, and global impact in higher education.”
Under the partnership, EdUHK and emlyon business school will pursue a number of joint initiatives, including the development of dual academic programmes, exchange of faculty, researchers and students for teaching, research and professional development, co-organisation of workshops and joint conferences, and collaboration on curriculum design, quality assurance, and micro-credential offerings.

Programme Intended Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the programme, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of core management principles in a global context, to effectively manage teams and drive business success across various industries in multinational corporations.
- Apply advanced communication and interpersonal skills to engage professionally with global stakeholders, fostering collaboration and independent problem-solving in international settings.
- Critically assess global and regional business challenges—particularly within Hong Kong, China, the Greater Bay Area, and the Asia-Pacific region—and formulate adaptive strategies for success in dynamic economic environments.
- Integrate ethical decision-making, strategic thinking, and principles of corporate governance, sustainability, and social responsibility to lead organisations with integrity and long-term vision across the globe.
- Integrate global perspectives gained from international exposure into strategic decision-making and organisational leadership practices.
Programme Structure and Curriculum
The Master of Global Management programme is a 30-credit-point (cps) programme comprising four core courses and six elective courses. Each course carries three cps. Full-time students in the one-year programme will take five courses per semester.

Tuition Fees
$350,000 per annum in 2027/28 (30 credit points). Expenses incurred from the optional elective courses “Field Trip I - Entrepreneurship” and “Field Trip II – Sustainability" are excluded from the tuition.
Fees subject to adjustment. The University reserves the right to make changes to tuition fee without prior notice. Tuition fees paid are normally not refundable or transferable. Extension fees will be charged to students who have to extend their studies beyond the normative period of study.

- Individuals who wish to apply for qualification certification in Chinese Mainland after graduation should contact the CSCSE (website: https://zwfw.cscse.edu.cn/cscse/lxfwzxwsfwdt2020/xlxwrz32/index.html) directly for updated details and confirmation. The certification in Chinese Mainland is an independent process from the conferral of academic qualification in Hong Kong, China by the University. For the avoidance of doubt, no warranties are given in respect of individual graduate’s qualification certification or recognition in Chinese Mainland or any other professional qualification or license outside Hong Kong, China.
- EdUHK, has not collaborated with any agency in Chinese Mainland or Hong Kong, China on admission, and does not encourage students to entrust their applications to any third-party agents and we always contact applicants directly on updates regarding the applications. You must complete and submit your own application via the EdUHK online admissions system and provide your own personal and contact details. Please refer to the official EdUHK channels, such as programme websites and the admissions system, for the required information to complete your application.
- Students who are enrolled in any full-time award-bearing programmes (lasting for one year or longer) of the University are not permitted to simultaneously register for another qualification at the University or a post-secondary qualification at any institutions except with prior approval by the Board of Graduate Studies. Violation of this regulation will lead to discontinuation of studies from the University. In case of doubt, students should seek advice from the Board of Graduate Studies (via the Graduate School).

Admission Requirements
Applicants should hold a recognised bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Shortlisted applicants may be required to attend an interview.
Applicants from institutions where English is not the medium of instruction are required to demonstrate English proficiency that meets the programme’s established standards. They should have attained scores in one of the following recognised English proficiency tests as indicated:
- Overall score of IELTS 6.0 (academic version)#; or
- An internet-based test# of TOEFL score of 80 (for tests taken before 21 January 2026) or score of 4.0 (for tests taken from 21 January 2026 onwards); or
- Band 6 in the College English Test (CET)# with a total score of 430; or
- Grade C or above in GCSE/GCE O-Level English; or
- Other equivalent qualifications on a case-by-case basis.
# The test should be taken in test centres and the result should be valid within two years.
TOEFL Home Editions, TOEFL MyBest Score, IELTS Indicator, IELTS Online, IELTS One Skill Retake, Duolingo and National Postgraduate Entrance Examination (全國碩士研究生招生考試) are NOT acceptable
