Explore the construction and transformation between traditional Chinese wisdom and contemporary values. In order to promote in-depth dialogue across time, space and culture, the conference plans to start from the three fields of language, culture and education, and use the five pillars of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development - Humanity, Planet, Prosperity, Peace and Partnership (Tremblay et al., 2020) as a framework to examine the possibility of dialogue and mutual integration between Chinese culture and contemporary values.

The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), and East China Normal University (ECNU) have announced a pioneering partnership on 31 August to drive research and development in the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within education. The partnership has been formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), establishing the Artificial Intelligence and Education Futures Alliance.

The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) hosted the Global Research Institute for Finnish Education Conference 2024 from 5 to 6 June. The Conference brought together over 150 scholars, educators and practitioners from Hong Kong, mainland China and overseas for rich dialogue on educational reforms with a special focus on the Chinese and Finnish educational systems.
