In today’s rapidly evolving business landscape, effective management practices are crucial for navigating the complexities of global markets and technological advancements. The Master of Management programme is designed to equip students and professionals with the comprehensive skills and knowledge necessary to lead organisations successfully in diverse and dynamic environments.

 

This programme offers a diverse and integrated curriculum designed to build students’ solid foundations in management, enabling them to navigate complex organisational dynamics. By developing their understanding of key principles such as corporate governance, sustainability, and social responsibility, the programme equips students with ethical and morally grounded leadership capabilities. The curriculum is also deliberately structured to draw connections across multiple professional disciplines, with the aim of nurturing versatile problem-solvers who can analyse challenges from multiple perspectives and adapt to the increasingly interconnected nature of global business.

EdUHK Signs MoU with emlyon business school to Establish International Programmes and Strengthen Academic Exchange

The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) and emlyon business school signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today (9 April) to establish a strategic collaboration that will expand academic cooperation, enhance student and staff exchange, and develop joint programmes between the two institutions.

 

The agreement was formalised during a signing ceremony held at EdUHK’s Tai Po campus, attended by senior leaders and delegations from both universities. It marked the beginning of a new chapter of exchanges and programme development between the two institutions.

 

Professor John Lee Chi-Kin, EdUHK President and Professor Isabelle Huault, President of emlyon business school, signed the MoU on behalf of the universities. During the ceremony, both institutions engaged in in-depth discussions on the direction of future collaboration in business education and affirmed their joint commitment to leveraging the unique advantages of Hong Kong and France.

 

Professor Lee remarked, “This partnership reflects EdUHK’s unwavering commitment to internationalisation and talent development. By joining hands with emlyon business school, we are creating new pathways for our students and staff to gain global perspectives, applied business knowledge and cross-cultural experience. Together, we will nurture future leaders who can thrive in a rapidly-changing world and contribute meaningfully to society”

 

Professor Huault said, “We are delighted to embark on this collaboration with EdUHK, which brings together two institutions with complementary strengths and shared aspirations. This partnership will enable us to co-develop innovative academic programmes, foster mobility across Asia and Europe, and build bridges between communities. I am confident that our joint initiatives will set new standards for excellence, innovation, and global impact in higher education.”

 

Under the partnership, EdUHK and emlyon business school will pursue a number of joint initiatives, including the development of dual academic programmes, exchange of faculty, researchers and students for teaching, research and professional development, co-organisation of workshops and joint conferences, and collaboration on curriculum design, quality assurance, and micro-credential offerings.

Programme Intended Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the programme, graduates are expected to:

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of core management principles to effectively manage teams and drive business success across various industries.
  • Apply advanced communication and interpersonal skills to engage professionally with diverse stakeholders, fostering collaboration and independent problem-solving in complex organisational settings.
  • Critically assess global and regional business challenges—particularly within Hong Kong, China, the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area, and the Asia-Pacific region—and formulate adaptive strategies for success in dynamic economic environments.
  • Integrate ethical decision-making, strategic thinking, and principles of corporate governance, sustainability, and social responsibility to lead organisations with integrity and long-term vision.

Programme Structure

Master of Management is a 24-credit-point (cp) programme comprising four core courses and four elective courses. Each course carries three credit points (cps).

Tuition

The tuition fee for 2027/28 is HK$252,000 (24 credit points), excluding costs associated with field trips.

 

The University reserves the right to make changes to tuition fee without prior notice. Tuition fees paid are normally not refundable or transferable. Extension fees will be charged to students who have to extend their studies beyond the normative period of study

The certification in Chinese Mainland is an independent process from the conferral of academic qualification in Hong Kong, China by the University. For the avoidance of doubt, no warranties are given in respect of individual graduate’s qualification certification or recognition in Chinese Mainland or any other professional qualification or license outside Hong Kong, China.
  • EdUHK, has not collaborated with any agency in Chinese Mainland or Hong Kong, China on admission, and does not encourage students to entrust their applications to any third-party agents and we always contact applicants directly on updates regarding the applications. You must complete and submit your own application via the EdUHK online admissions system and provide your own personal and contact details. Please refer to the official EdUHK channels, such as programme websites and the admissions system, for the required information to complete your application.
  • Students who are enrolled in any full-time award-bearing programmes (lasting for one year or longer) of the University are not permitted to simultaneously register for another qualification at the University or a post-secondary qualification at any institutions except with prior approval by the Board of Graduate Studies. Violation of this regulation will lead to discontinuation of studies from the University. In case of doubt, students should seek advice from the Board of Graduate Studies (via the Graduate School).
