AEDI organised its Academy Orientation Day on 21 August 2025

The Academy for Educational Development and Innovation (AEDI) of The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) hosted its Orientation Day for the 2025/26 academic year on the Tai Po campus, on 21 August 2025. A new cohort of students was welcomed to the EdUHK community, as they embarked on a new journey of academic and professional development. Over 450 students participated in the event, and Professor John Lee Chi-Kin, Director of AEDI along with the Academy’s Executive Co-Directors, Associate Co-Directors, Programme Leaders and Associate Programme Leaders, engaged with new students throughout the activity.

Professor Lee extended a warm welcome to the new students joining EdUHK. In his address to the students, Professor Lee said “Our programmes feature many outstanding staff members, and we encourage students to actively participate in class discussions and engage with one another. Within this vibrant community of the University and the Academies, we promote a culture of mutual support and development. After graduation, we look forward to maintaining connections and collaborating to strengthen and expand our alumni network.”  He also highlighted the AEDI's focus on various areas such as Chinese Values-based Leadership Education, E-Sports Management, New Media and Social Media, and Educational Neuroscience.
