This vibrant exchange programme made a new enriching chapter in educational collaboration.
On November 25, Professor John Lee Chi-Kin, the President as well as the Director of the Academy of Education Development and Innovation (AEDI) of EdUHK, and Professor Hu Jinming, the President of YNNU, hosted the opening ceremony of the exchange programme. Together with other representatives from EdUHK, they warmly welcomed the first YNNU delegation of twenty teachers and students, wishing them a fruitful experience over the following two weeks. This program featured a diverse range of activities, including engaging lectures, interactive workshops, site visits, and field trips, aimed at deepening academic cooperation and cultural exchange between the two universities.
Throughout this two-week dynamic programme, participants were going to immerse themselves in a series of stimulating learning activities. In the sessions, EdUHK’s experts shared the latest research findings and practical experiences, sparking deep reflections and lively discussions among the attendees. During the workshops, YNNU participants actively exchanged ideas on educational innovation, creating a vibrant and productive atmosphere. The site visits and field trips allowed them to experience first-hand the unique and advanced aspects of Hong Kong's education system. They explored notable sites such as the Hong Kong Science Park, Cyberport, the Hong Kong Red Cross Kennedy Centre, Kowloon Walled City, Ocean Park, and Victoria Peak, gaining a comprehensive understanding of Hong Kong's educational philosophies, teaching methods, curriculum design, student assessment systems, and rich historical and cultural features.
At the closing ceremony, student representatives from YNNU reflected on their memorable experiences during the exchange and shared their individual gains and insights. They showcased their learning achievements from their time in Hong Kong, demonstrating their academic progress, innovative thinking, and practical skills in educational settings. Professor Kenneth Sin Kuen-Fung, the Executive Co-Director of the AEDI, praised the YNNU participants for adding new vitality and perspectives to the exchange program. Looking ahead, both universities aim to use this exchange as an opportunity to further expand their areas of cooperation and deepen collaborative efforts. AEDI will continue to strengthen our partnerships in academic research, teacher training, and student exchanges, working together to promote educational innovation and development.
